Healthy Grain Free/Gluten Free Bread Recipe

Most breads, even whole grain, are high glycemic and raise blood sugar significantly. This results in weight gain, bloating and is a contributing factor to diabetes. But who says you have to go without?Here is a healthy, grain free, gluten free and high protein alternative! Try this recipe!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Simple Paleo Bread

Ingredients:

  • 5 organic eggs
  • ¼ cup coconut oil or softened grass fed butter
  • 1 tsp honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1¼ cups almond flour
  • 4 tbsp coconut flour
  • ¼ cup ground flaxseed
  • ¼ tsp sea salt
  • 1½ tsp baking soda
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350°.
In a mixing bowl or food processor mix the eggs, oil (or butter), honey and vinegar.
Add almond flour, coconut flour, flaxseed, salt, and baking soda to the mix.
Mix wet and dry ingredients.
Add the batter into a small greased loaf pan, using your hands to even it out.
Bake for 30 minutes until the middle is baked (toothpick test).
Let cool and enjoy!
